Children's Ministry

At Leighton, we believe that children are a gift from God.

We also believe that children should feel safe and protected while they are at church. That is why each person who is involved in Children's Ministry attends a child protection class and undergoes a thorough background check. Children are an important part of our church family. Check out the ministries offered just for kids!

NURSERY
The nursery is open every Sunday morning to newborns, toddlers, and preschoolers. Dedicated, caring workers are in the nursery during the 9:30 a.m. worship service and 11:00 a.m. Sunday School hour to play with and care for God's precious little ones. Nursery services are also available September through March on our Wednesday Family Night from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Age appropriate toys provide fun and hands on learning for your child.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH
Each Sunday September through March, the children have a worship time all their own. Kids Preschool through 2nd Grade are dismissed during the morning worship service to gather together to sing songs, listen to a Bible story, and do a craft that ties in with the Bible story.

PIONEER CLUB
Pioneer Club, a mid-week program for children Preschool-6th Grade, meets Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. September through March. Pioneer Clubs helps boys and girls build healthy relationships with caring Christian adults, peers, and most importantly, Jesus Christ. Kids in Pioneer Clubs discover God in every way and explore God and life while earning badges and awards for memorizing Bible verses and completing various activities. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
One week each summer is set aside just for kids! Children in Preschool through 5th Grade gather together for 5 nights to discover who Jesus Christ is and how much He loves them. The theme each summer is different, but the end result is the same - FUN, FUN, FUN! Vacation Bible School is loaded with exciting music, intriguing Bible Stories, delicious snacks, crazy games, and fun, easy-to-do crafts.
